Horse Drawn Tram

A horse tram made its first trip in Türkiye on September 3rd 1872, on the route Azapkapı-Ortaköy in Istanbul. They continued in service in Turkish cities for more than thirty years, but by 1914 the last examples had been replaced by the more efficient electric type. This particular tram worked on Route no. 14 between Beşiktaş and Karaköy, part of the inaugural route outlined above, and is shown in its original Ottoman era livery. L: 12.10 m W: 2.10 m H: 3.50 m
