Dornier Do 28 D-2 Skyservant

Dornier’s original Do 28 first flew in 1959, and had a number of unusual design features including the fixed tailwheel undercarriage, with the faired mainwheels being mounted under the engines on stub wings. Most production was for military customers, notably Germany, although a small number were delivered to commercial operators. This aircraft was built in February 1973: it served initially with the German Army (Bundeswehr), and was sold to Turkey in 1983. Kindly donated by the Turkish Army. L: 11.4 m W: 15.5 m H: 3.9 m
