The Museum Workshops, with their skilled and experienced staff, handle the restoration and conservation of objects in the museum, as well as making replicas of certain exhibits.
The restorations are not all static: many objects that come to the workshops return in full working order - so at the Museum you can see, for example, early 20th century steam engines and other machines running like new.
Our range of services extends from small decorative pieces to full-sized locomotives, from antique furniture to large yachts - in short, everything that you might find in the wide collections of the Rahmi M. Koç Museum itself.
The workshops cover over 8,000 m2 of internal area, and are staffed by over 40 craftsmen, with an average of more 20 years' experience each.
This is the first and most comprehensive facility of its kind in Turkey, and we are proud to be able to share it with numerous visitors, such as the students that come to us weekly on a special museum education programme.
