About us...

We are more than just a static museum: our aim is to make your visit with us as active, interactive and enjoyable as possible. In addition to our wonderful range of exhibits, we have a series of weekend activities (see opposite) to intrigue young and old alike: and when you feel the need to take a break and relax, why not pop in to one of our many other diversions? Such as our…

Museum Shop

A range of gifts and objects related to the Museum and its surroundings are offered. We have something for everyone: pencils, postcards and key rings at pocket-money prices, quality souvenirs, and a number of books and toys complementing exhibits in our collections.
Shopping arcade

And if you don’t find everything you need in our shop, why not pay a visit to the superb range of shops arranged in traditional ‘cells’ along the front of the Museum? Fine, hand made jewellery, unique ceramics, antique carpets, books about Ankara, and many other enticing products can all be found here.

Çengelhan Brasserie

The Çengelhan Brasserie, operated by Divan, is the ideal place to relax after visiting the Museum, a chance to savour the famous Divan cuisine whilst ‘drinking in’ the historic atmosphere… The menu is both local and international, truly the ‘best of both worlds’. The extensive wine list complements the varied menu perfectly, while a full range of local and imported drinks can be found in the cosy and intimate bar.
The Brasserie can also cater for a full range of private dining and corporate entertainment. Please contact the Brasserie and Café on (0)312 309 6800 or cengelhan_brasserie@divan.com.tr
Çengelhan Café

For those with a sweet tooth – or perhaps just looking for a quick snack – the Çengelhan Café is the delectable alternative, serving not only hot and cold sandwiches, but also a full range of pastries, chocolates and Turkish delight from the celebrated ‘Divan’ tradition.  See immediately above for contact details
